What we are (and what we're not)
Alberta Mortgage Match is a marketing and lead-referral service. We are not a mortgage brokerage, not a lender, and we don't provide mortgage advice. When you complete our 60-second quiz, we connect you — with your explicit consent — with one or more licensed Alberta mortgage professionals suited to your goal, city and situation. They're the experts; we're the introduction.
How the matching works
- You answer a few questions about your goal (buying, renewing, refinancing, consolidating), your city, timeline and situation. No credit check, no SIN, no documents.
- We match your inquiry to a licensed Alberta broker who works files like yours — for example, self-employed specialists for business owners.
- The broker contacts you, typically within one business day, and shops 30+ lenders for your options. You decide from there; there's never any obligation.
How we're paid — plainly
Our partner brokers pay us a flat marketing fee for introductions. You never pay us anything, and our fee doesn't change your rate — broker compensation on standard mortgages comes from the lender, which is the same whether you find that broker through us, Google, or a friend. We chose flat fees (not commissions on your mortgage) deliberately, to stay clearly on the marketing side of Alberta's mortgage rules.

Where our numbers come from
Every figure in our calculators and guides — the 5.25% stress-test floor, CMHC premium tiers, Alberta's $50 + $5/$5,000 land-title fees, FHSA and Home Buyers' Plan limits, current Bank of Canada rates — is sourced from official rules (OSFI, CMHC, Alberta Land Titles, CRA) and current market data, dated on the page, and reviewed when rules change. Calculators use the exact semi-annual compounding Canadian lenders use. If you spot an error, email us — we fix it fast.
What we'll never do
Quote you a specific rate you "qualify" for (only a licensed professional can), sell your information to anyone beyond the broker you consented to hear from, or charge you for anything. See our privacy policy for the full details, including how to withdraw consent at any time.
